Movement Education Workshop: Understanding the Deep Core System

Many people think of the “core” as just the abdominal muscles, but true core strength comes from a deeper system of muscles that work together to support your spine, breathing, posture, and overall movement.
Your deep core system includes the diaphragm, pelvic floor, transverse abdominis, and spinal stabilizers. When these muscles work together effectively, they help create stability, protect the spine, and improve the way your body moves.
In this educational workshop, we will explore how these muscles function as a system and how simple breathing and movement techniques can help improve core stability, posture, balance, and body awareness.
Participants will learn practical exercises that can be incorporated into daily life and workouts to support long-term strength and movement health.
This workshop is open to all genders and all experience levels.
What You'll Learn

Carry Club is designed for beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts alike. Whether you want a light workout or you're aiming for a personal record, this class adapts to your goals. The session involves moving weights down a 45-foot parking lot in various ways, mimicking everyday activities like carrying groceries. You'll work with chains, kettlebells, resistance bikes, medicine balls, and deadlifting stations.
This isn't a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class. Instead, it's a relaxed environment where you move at your own pace and choose your level of challenge. There's minimal technique required, making it ideal for anyone who wants to join us for a Saturday morning workout.
